Your pug(s) of the day!
Your pug(s) of the day!

Here are a few things I came across that I wanted to share. Hopefully they’ll fill your week with some inspiration and levity. Enjoy!

Nerding Out To:
//Star Wars Princess, Carrie Fisher, and her pup star in this awesome interview. Seriously, even if you aren’t a Star Wars fan, it’s hilarious!

Binge Watching:
//Netflix is killing it lately – Aziz Ansari’s Master of None is just as good as it’s been hyped up to be.

Thinking Everyone Should Read:
//How poor, single moms survive.
//The difference in how the media portrays white shooters.
//80 Books not to read if you’re a woman. My favorite quotation: “a book without women is often said to be about humanity but a book with women in the foreground is a woman’s book.” So frustratingly true.
//A former Planned Parenthood employee’s experience with terrorism.

Excited About:
//An awesome reinterpretation of the pin-up calendar.
//These hilarious Holiday cards for agnostics!

Inspired By:
//‘Soles 4 Souls’ provides men and women who are homeless with much-needed shoes and foot care.

Christmas Things!
//A Very Murray Christmas on Netflix is an awesome addition to the arsenal of holiday entertainment.
//5 Holiday movies that pass the Bechdel test (Little Women FTW!).

Chicago Things:
//For the month of December, Flowers for Dreams is partnering with the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless. The hubby treated me to some beautiful birthday flowers that were made all the more lovely because I know they are giving back. Get in on this!
//So sad to hear about the closing of The Portage. If you haven’t had the chance, check out this lovely North-west side restaurant before it’s too late!
//Rahm Emanuel’s Katrina moment? I think so.
